REVIEW: Kenpo iPod Jacket
Summer is coming up. And your gadgets have to have a home when you are on the go - especially your iPod. Say Hello to the Kenpo iPod jacket.
A short while ago we were contacted by Kenpo. Informing us of their newly released Kenpo iPod jacket. This is a tough area to fill your mid-section with. Especially since Burtons iPod jacket has done so extremely well. To be perfectly honest, we thought, hey, this company has to be crazy in order to compete with the likes of Burton for iPod wear. But they have guts. So we said, hey, lets give this a shot. Lets put it through the tests.
We werent expecting much when the jacket arrived. Boy were we wrong. The Kenpo iPod jacket was constructed very nicely. And the fabric felt really nice. But that wasnt really our main concern. Of course it has to look hott, and fit nice, but could it perform?
After prancing around the office for a while with the jacket on, getting tons of comments from co-workers, it was time for one of the real tests. Lets take this puppy out, and plug in the tools. A simple connection, drop your iPod in the pocket, and hit the controls and your set.
Style
The Kenpo iPod jacket is extremely stylish, and fits realy nice. Nothing too fancy or out there, but it certainly does the job properly. Its a well cut jacket that gets alot of comments. It can be worn as a “sporty” coat, but fits extremely well with business attire. The material is very nice quality, and seems really durable.
Functionality
A simple plug attachment in the left side pocket of our jacket connects to the iPod through the top headphone port on the iPod. Its as simple as that. Use the controls on the sleeve (which were extremely stealth on our black model) to control all of the iPods functions. A simple tap on the buttons will suffice to change your setting, no hard pressing here. There is also a feed to fish your headphones up to your collar. We tested with the original iPod, but there is another special connection that must be ordered in order to use iPod shuffles with the jacket.

- Only suggestion for Kenpo - work on the website a bit. It really doesnt get the point across that this is an iPod gadget jacket - its really difficult to navigate around, and somewhat buggy - besides that, its a wicked iPod jacket!
