Despite all of these innovations in technology you would assume that someone would have figured out how to supply laptops with more juice lasting longer between charges. Blogs are a lot of work to create. They were built to handle long text posts with images and formatting. Bu what happens when you want a simple solution to quickly add a note or two to share to friends or family? That’s where the scrapbooks of the blogging world come into play. Tumblr’s tumblelogs are great for creating free small blogs that make sharing information easy.

Users can choose to use your choice of a subdomain, or hook up your own .com to redirect to your account. The Tumblr system works almost exactly like Wordpress, but a heck of a lot simpler by taking out the guesswork about how to add images, video and other pieces of content. There are themes to choose from and customize complete with a clean uncluttered interface.

Rumors were sparking last year when there was talk of a Google phone coming out (the “Google Switch, Gphone”). Then we heard about Samsung teaming with the search giant to get the touchscreen development down. Now the news is out about the Gphone having Blackberry like features and available across multiple carriers instead of being locked down on one like Apple’s iPhone. There’s going to be a phone battle this summer for sure! When will Microsoft chime in on this?

When Apple’s iPhone was announced earlier this year the crowd went wild. Then we saw pics of LG Prada’s phone, and they looked surprisingly somewhat similar. With the iPhone launching later this summer, the LG is going to be launched on March 22nd. Owners are going to have to dish out quite a bit, $800 US, for this designer branded touch screen phone. So who will win out? Two big names will be battling it out this summer, and there will only be one big winner. Apple’s OSX inspired touch screen phone, and LG’s Spiffy Prada.

RIM released the pearl-esk Blackberry 8800 not too long ago to much fanfare, now there are rumors, and pictures of an 8300, codenamed Daytona, circulating. Will this be the long awaited Blackberry device that will be Wifi enabled? The rumored 8300 looks very much like a cross between the 8800 and the Pearl, with a trackball, camera, and giant screen.
